This document governs the electrical services you book with EU Electrical ("we", "us"). Please read it alongside any written quote we provide.
"EU Electrical Services" or "EU Electrical" or "Company" means E&U Electrical Services LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16194361) with its registered office at 150 Wightman Road, N8 0BD, London, UK. "Customer" means the person or business booking our services. "Services" means the electrical work described in your quote or booking confirmation.
We don't publish fixed prices for our services — every job is individually quoted based on the work involved, typically following a description of the job or a site survey. Quotes are valid for 15 days from the date given, unless stated otherwise, and are based on the information and access provided at the time. Prices stated in your quote ARE INCLUSIVE of VAT at the prevailing rate. E&U Electrical Services Ltd is VAT registered (VAT number: 526 8787 40). If, once work begins, we identify additional work needed that wasn't part of the original quote, we'll agree this with you in writing (including price) before proceeding, except where immediate action is needed for safety reasons.
A contract is formed when you accept a quote in writing (including by email) or verbally confirm a booking, whichever applies.
If your contract with us is agreed away from our business premises — for example, at your home, by phone, or via our website — you have a 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, during which you can cancel without giving a reason.
To cancel, contact us at info@euelectricalservices.com or +44 753 788 3961 within 14 days of the contract date.
If you'd like work to begin before the 14 days are up (for example, an urgent repair), you can expressly request this in writing. If you then cancel after work has started, you'll be charged for the work carried out up to the point of cancellation, calculated proportionally against the total price.
This cancellation right doesn't apply to emergency call-outs you've specifically requested to address an urgent, immediate problem (e.g. a dangerous fault) — in that case, work carried out before any cancellation request will still need to be paid for.
The full balance is due on completion of the work. For larger contract work — such as full property renovations — payment may instead be arranged in agreed stages, confirmed with you in writing beforehand.
You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the property and work area. Delays caused by lack of access may affect scheduling and, where relevant, cost.
All work is carried out with reasonable care and skill, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and to current UK wiring regulations (BS 7671). Manufacturer warranties on parts and materials are provided separately by the manufacturer.
Where required, we notify Building Control of notifiable work under Part P of the Building Regulations and issue relevant certification (e.g. EICR, Part P certificates, Minor Works Certificates) on completion.
We may decline or pause work where we reasonably believe conditions are unsafe, or where information provided is materially inaccurate. We'll explain why and discuss next steps with you.
See our Complaints Procedure if you're unhappy with any aspect of our service.
